Nederlandse Vereniging van Binnenhavens (NVB)
The main objective of the Nederlandse Vereniging van Binnenhavens (Dutch Inland Port Association) is to bring the inland ports more to the attention of policymakers, the business community and regional development organisations. Its members are (amongst others) municipalities, provinces, chambers of commerce and port authorities. The NVB counts the Ports of Amsterdam and Rotterdam among its members.
The NVB :
- supports its members in the development of inland ports
- indicates bottlenecks as input for government policy
- functions as central point for knowledge, experience and information-exchange on economic and social importance of inland ports for the region;
