Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Duisport signed a long-term cooperation agreement for the energy transition

This cooperation agreement includes hydrogen supply chain, hinterland connections and infrastructure and emphasises on the development of solutions for the import, storage and distribution of green hydrogen in various forms.
They aim at building an international supply chain for hydrogen, and a high-frequency rail as well as pipeline connections shuttle will be established to serve this goal. The rail will be established as “rolling pipeline”.

The two ports aiming for climate neutrality by 2050, the development of environmentally friendly port handling equipment is also part of the joint agreement.

For duisport, cooperation with the port of Antwerp-Bruges is considered another important step in the expansion of its future network.
