The inland shipping sector has come together to present a joint position on the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation. This piece of legislation is essential in achieving the decarbonisation of inland shipping. It requires steps to enable the deployment of onshore power supply and legislative tools to plan the deployment of hydrogen and other future fuels in a smart and targeted manner. As the co-legislators, the Parliament and the Council, progress their review of the AFIR, the points in the joint position will be vital in achieving the Green Deal.
